Rotary Local Grants

The Summit County Rotary supports local organizations and individuals through its “Local Grants Program”.  Eligible projects need to specifically support local individuals and community projects that demonstrate need and that benefit our local Summit County community.  The “mini-grants” range in size from $100 to $1500.

Since the beginning the Summit County Rotary Club efforts have been made to support our local community.  As a part of the budgeting process, each year, the Board of Directors will determine the amount of funds available during the coming year for donations and contributions to worthy individuals and organizations.   This year the Summit County Rotary has budgeted 9K to specifically to support local individuals and community projects that demonstrate need and that benefit our local Summit County community.

Some of our past beneficiaries of the funds include: SPA (Make a Difference Day), Keystone Science School (Discovery Camp scholarships), FIRC (Housing and medical Assistance Funds), High Country Soccer Assn. (Latino Youth Soccer program), Boy Scouts (Recruiting and pinewood derby project), Summit High School (World Affairs Challenge, student trips and Rugby Team), CASA, (Court appointed child advocate), Dillon Cemetery (Headstone project), Silverthorne Community Garden (Building the Community garden) and other individuals with travel or educational needs.
