A quick reminder to everyone that we have our annual Ski Day at Copper Mountain this coming Wednesday March 29th. Our social committee has chosen this outing as the club's Happy Hour and FIT activity. Club members can meet at 9:30 AM and/or noon at the Eagle Chair in Center Village. Happy Hour will follow at 3:30 PM at Ten Mile Tavern in Center Village. Come on out and enjoy the amazing snow we have been getting this season. The annual scholarship awards night at Summit High School will occur on Monday April 3rd where $14,000 in Rotary scholarships will be awarded. Club members interested in meeting and congratulating our Rotary scholarship winners are encouraged to attend the dessert reception at 7 PM in the SHS cafeteria to hand out Rotary swag and goodies. Please consider joining Cathy Fogel (current Scholarship Committee chair) and Cindy Bargell (past chair) congratulating these deserving students. This reception is a lot of fun and so rewarding when you get to speak directly to the scholarship winners. Always an impressive group of students! Many thanks to Jeanne Bistranin and The Summit Foundation for administering the scholarship awards program based on the criteria set by Summit Rotary club.
At the last District meeting for club presidents, Rotary eClub One announced a great raffle available globally to all Rotarians. Our District 5450 was instrumental in forming eClub One back in 2001, the very first online Rotary club in the world. Our current District Governor, 'Buchi Ankipezie, is a member of Rotary eClub One.

Club Service Committee Chairperson: involves activities that affect the smooth operation of our Rotary club. The Club Service Committee Chair oversees a number of committees that are responsible for our club bulletin, social committee, club bylaws and inventory of club flags. As the Committee Chair, you will participate in our club's monthly board meetings, communicate with your committee members and collaborate with other club members as needed.
Marketing Committee Chair Position
The duties are wide open to create and execute those things which promote our club motto of "making good things happen, in our community, in the world and in ourselves." You will work closely and coordinate with the club president regarding your creative ideas. You will work with our community assets like Krystal93, Summit Daily News, Rotary Social Media, Rotary Website, and other media as appropriate. You will also work directly with the Rotary Sponsor person to learn and further develop the Corporate Sponsors program.

Email spam filters often include the ability to "whitelist" certain sender IP addresses, email addresses or domain names to protect their email from being rejected or sent to a junk mail folder.
From Wickipedia: A whitelist is (1) a list of email addresses that a mail server or email client program is configured to accept as valid, incoming mail. Also called a "safe senders list," only messages from addresses on the list are allowed, and all the rest are discarded. (2) A list of valid domain names that a mail server is configured to accept. All mail from users with that domain are allowed.
Gmail:
According to internet: Gmail offers an option to add specific addresses or domains as "safe" so they aren't automatically marked as spam, known as a "Whitelist." Your Whitelists must be managed and set by you. If you want to accept all email sent from a specific address, follow these instructions:
Log in to your Gmail
Click the gear icon in the top-right, and select Settings.
Click the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.
Click Create at New Filter.
In the pop-up window, in the From field enterthe clubrunner email addresses listed above separated by OR. example mailservice@clubrunner.ca OR @clubrunner.email
The Membership Committee needs new Rotary members (especially people who have joined Rotary in the last 2 - 3 years) to join the Committee to help us meet our challenges in attracting and retaining new members. The Committee meets as needed to discuss approaches in how we can add, and involve, new members. We need to recruit new folks to keep our club vibrant and involved in the community!
A Prospective Member should attend 3 meetings before turning in his/her application, sponsor form, a short bio and $50 application fee to the Membership Chairman, David Guignard, or to any one on the Membership Committee. The application will be presented to the Membership Committee for approval. Once approved, the applicant's bio will be posted in our bulletin for 3 weeks. If there are no questions about the Prospective Member, the induction will be scheduled. Two categories of Membership are available – a Family Membership and a Corporate Membership. Please contact an individual on the Membership Committee for details on these new types of Membership.
