Another month is pretty much on the books!  Wow!  How does the time go by so fast?

One of our Club's priorities is Growing MembershipLet's keep the SPARK alive!!  Bring someone you know to a meeting, sit at a different table, welcome guests with open arms.  Find out what others like to be involved in - what motivates them.  Ask those questions of yourself as well.

Another of our Club's Priorities is Inspiring Engagement.  The Companion club is a great way in which we can can support service projects, encourage fellowship and make connections, and provide education thru orientation and mentoring.  RI has a boat-load of free educational programs you can register for.  Check it out!

The Ice Device is on the Lake!  The filming by Traci Clark is fantastic!  Here is a link to view the launch:  https://we.tl/t-VriHGAhqe2.   Meanwhile, join your fellow Rotarians selling Ice Melt tickets at either A-Basin on March 29th or Keystone on March 30th.  Help make even more GOOD THINGS HAPPEN in Summit County!  Shifts are only 4 hours and you will have fun!  Sign up online here:

Think about the newly proposed IMPACT/Companion Club.  It may be a great way to incorporate people who want to just participate in service projects only.  The Board discussed this at our meeting and we will be moving forward with it soon.  A few people have talked to me about the potential for becoming members (some are currently not Rotarians!).  Not a problem, we want people who like to do projects involved with Rotary!.

The Rotary EPIC Day of Service is May 17, 2025.  We will build a storage shed for Timberline Mobility on the north side of the Senior Center in collaboration with the Breck Club.  Plans are in the works.  Watch for further notices and participation opportunities!

I enjoy hugging( or fist-bumping ) each and every one of you!
Show up, participate, and have fun!

Wendy

Personally, I have been part of this community for 28 years, dedicating my career to supporting Summit County’s most trusted organizations. My role at the Summit Foundation allows me to amplify the incredible work we do, ensuring our impact is known and felt throughout the region. I believe deeply in the Four-Way Test — ensuring that our work is truthful, fair, builds goodwill and benefits all. I love what I do and look forward to engaging with Rotary, as so much of our mission aligns in improving the lives of those around us.

As a marketing professional, I have dedicated my career to increasing awareness and engagement in our community. From my work at the town of Frisco and the Breckenridge Tourism Office to championing the hospital and revitalizing the Breck Film Festival, I have shaped longstanding events and campaigns that drive participation and impact. I believe in the power of autonomy, mastery, and purpose to create meaningful connections and lasting change, a philosophy that has guided my work in building programs that strengthen our community.

Prevent ClubRunner Emails from getting "Junked"

To ensure that the club newsletter and other Clubrunner emails are successfully delivered to your email inbox, add the following email address and domain name to your email's contact list/safe senders/whitelist:

  1. mailservice@clubrunner.ca
  2. @clubrunner.email

What is a whitelist and why is this needed?

Email spam filters often include the ability to "whitelist" certain sender IP addresses, email addresses or domain names to protect their email from being rejected or sent to a junk mail folder.

From Wickipedia:  A whitelist is (1) a list of email addresses that a mail server or email client program is configured to accept as valid, incoming mail. Also called a "safe senders list," only messages from addresses on the list are allowed, and all the rest are discarded.   (2) A list of valid domain names that a mail server is configured to accept. All mail from users with that domain are allowed.

Gmail:

According to internet:  Gmail offers an option to add specific addresses or domains as "safe" so they aren't automatically marked as spam, known as a "Whitelist." Your Whitelists must be managed and set by you. If you want to accept all email sent from a specific address, follow these instructions:

  1. Log in to your Gmail
  2. Click the gear icon in the top-right, and select Settings.
  3. Click the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.
  4. Click Create at New Filter.
  5. In the pop-up window, in the From field enter the clubrunner email addresses listed above separated by OR. example mailservice@clubrunner.ca OR @clubrunner.email
  6. Click Create filter.
  7. Check "Never send it to Spam".
  8. Click Create filter
