The Board and the Membership Committee have approved the amendment to the following Bylaw requirement for membership. The Bylaw will be amended to say:“The candidate is notified of that decision, and their bio is then published in the e-bulletin one time for the entire club’s membership to review”. This will expedite the process of membership approval. Consider this posting to be NOTICE to Members.
To formalize this change, Bylaws Article 10, Section 4—which states “The candidate is notified of that decision, and their bio is then published in the e-bulletin three times for the entire club’s membership to review” — must be amended. According to Article 13 – Amendments, changes to the Bylaws may be made at any regular club meeting. To do so, written notice must be sent to all members at least 10 days in advance. A quorum (defined as one-third of the club’s membership) must be present, and two-thirds of those voting must approve the amendment.
The voting will occur on May 28th.
