Making Good Things Happen

Nepal Earthquake Shelter Box Drive

Help us help the people of Nepal. The Rotary Club of Summit County is asking our Summit County locals and guests to help us raise fund for the people in Nepal, recently struck by two devastating earthquakes. The Club will match community donation up to $15,000 towards the purchase and deployment of Shelter Boxes. Shelter Boxes provide temporary housing for people who lost their homes in the quakes. The drive will run through May 31st. Call 970-668-5132or email Bernie Zubriggen to help.

It was the most powerful disaster to strike Nepal since the 1934 Nepal-Bihar earthquake. Early reports suggest that around 600,000 homes have been damaged or destroyed and 8.1 million people are now reported to be in need of humanitarian assistance. - ShelterBox, USA.
