I am a retired physician with a specialty in psychiatry. I practiced medicine for 32 years, with most of my career spent working in community mental health. I have been honored over the course of my career to use my expertise to treat some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, helping to improve the lives of my patients and their families.
I was born and raised in Rochester, NY. My education and medical training took me from Ithaca, NY, to Durham, NC, to St. Louis, MO. In my early career, I worked as a staff psychiatrist at Kaiser Permanente in Fairfield, CA, while my husband completed his Air Force commitment there. We then moved to Hanover, NH, where I served on the faculty at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, teaching medical students and residents. In 2002, my husband and I decided to settle down in our dream location of Colorado. I worked as a psychiatrist in community mental health in Colorado Springs, in addition to raising our two children and volunteering in many capacities at the Colorado Springs School.
My husband and I are blessed with two amazing children. Our son, 29, is a software engineer living in Seattle. His wife is an emergency room veterinarian. Our daughter, 26, lives in Boston and is working toward a Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences. When we retired in 2023, we moved to Breckenridge full time. We have embraced the outdoor lifestyle in Breckenridge and have enjoyed meeting the many people in Summit County who share our love for adventure and the outdoors.
