My journey to Colorado began in upstate New York, where I grew up and first developed a love for skiing. I started teaching skiing at my local resort—admittedly, mostly as a way to earn a ski pass! When I traveled to Colorado to ski at age 14 to visit my uncle, I knew almost immediately that someday I wanted to make the mountains my home.

After graduating from Samaritan Hospital’s nursing program in Troy, New York, in 2001, I began my nursing career. In 2005, I came to Summit County as a travel nurse at St. Anthony Summit Hospital, planning to continue traveling around the country. Instead, I fell in love with the community and never left.

Over the past 21 years at St. Anthony Summit Hospital, I have grown from a bedside nurse into a healthcare leader. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing Leadership from Regis University in 2015 and have served as Chief Nursing Officer since 2025. In this role, I am passionate about clinical excellence, developing others, and ensuring that our mountain community has access to high-quality, compassionate healthcare.

Service has also been an important part of my life beyond the hospital. For three years, I served as a Girl Scout troop leader, supporting young people as they developed confidence, leadership skills, and a stronger connection to their community. That experience reinforced how meaningful it is to encourage others and help create opportunities for them to grow.

My husband, Jeremiah, and I were married in 2010, and we are raising our 13-year-old daughter here. Much of our family life centers on the outdoors—skiing, rafting, hiking, camping, snowmobiling, and enjoying all that mountain living has to offer. These days, you can also frequently find me on the sidelines of a soccer field cheering on our daughter. I often joke that she has no idea it is unusual to grow up with her own 10-foot raft, snowmobile, and fly rod by the age of 13.
