The school is asking community members to take a survey that will help decide which career programs are most important to the community. Rotarian and School District Superintendent Tony Byrd spoke about the survey during a community broadcast on the district’s Facebook page. The district’s goal is to bridge the gap between traditional educational approaches and the evolving needs and expectations of both industry and postsecondary education. The survey takes about 10 minutes and is open through Nov. 20 at https://bit.ly/476atjv. The district will use insights from survey respondents to help guide the decision-making process and shape the future of programs offered at Summit schools. Bill Gilmore, the district’s director of postsecondary readiness, has offered to personally present the survey’s findings to our club in January.
